President / Founder

Dhyana Parker, was born in the Washington DC area. She has worked for the Federal Government for over 29 years and is now a Management Analyst Contractor with the Department of State. She received her Bachelor’s in Business Management and her Master’s in Public Administration with a Concentration in Non-Profit Management from Southeastern University. She’s the mother of two sons, one is a Deputy Sheriff in Charles County and the other is an ER Medical Technician at PG Hospital, and the proud grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren.

Dhyana’s Mission is to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide and Mental Illness, by sharing her testimony. She feels that, If she can reach at least one person, that’s an accomplishment. In 2019, she started the Rock for Life Foundation, Inc, in honor of her brother “Rocky”who died by Suicide and to help bring awareness to Mental Illness within the community, especially among youth and minorities and to rid the strong stigma in most cultures on Mental Illness.


Vice President / Founder

Tatia Duncan is a native Washingtonian who graduated from Strayer College with a Bachelors’s in Business Administration. Her diverse career has spanned everything from administrative support to leadership/management in the federal government.  She loves her family and has a passion for helping others.


Vice President

Lynettle Johnson has a passion for Event planning, Arts and Crafts and Photography.   In addition to a full time job with the Federal Government.  In 2017 and 2018 Lynettle became a co-chair for the DC Out of the Darkness Community Walk that’s ran by The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  She welcomes the opportunity to share her passion with the Rock for Life family.



Kenneth Barry is a Charles County Deputy Sherrif, he’s the father of two children Savannah (7) and Kenneth Jr (4).  Kenneth started his career in Law Enforcement with the Prince George’s County Office of Corrections in 2009.  In 2011 Kenneth became a Deputy Sherrif in Charles County. Kenneth is proud to be part of The Rock for Life Foundation, Inc, in honor of his uncle Sterling A. Parker, II (Rocky).  Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his uncle who was more like his big brother.  His goal being part of the RFLF is to help bring awareness to Mental Illness and Suicide Prevention.


Education Liaison

Lisa Daughtrey serves as a No More Martyrs Mental Health Advocate (Location – Washington, DC and surrounding areas). She is a suicide prevention/ mental health advocate and speaker as well as the founder and President of Be My Keeper and Co- Founder of Talk to Us Blog. In 2012, Lisa’s son (18) died by suicide, that year she initiated a suicide prevention pilot program with TC Williams High School with the assistance of American Foundation Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Lisa has served on the board of directors for AFSP for two years and volunteers for Mental Health America (MHA). In 2018, she joined the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Health Policy Team. The team is committed to improving the health of African Americans by promoting national policy, developing resources and programs, seeking health equity and supporting evidence -based health and public health practices and systems. Lisa is a contributing author of ‘Project Semicolon: Your Story Isn’t Over’ which is a collection of essays and photos from suicide awareness organization.


Community Liaison

Maria Dorsey is a native Washingtonian.  Maria enjoys serving her community by feeding and clothing the Homeless.  She supports this effort weekly with her family and friends.  Maria also volunteers at her neighborhood High School coaching and mentoring interested students.  Maria recently participated in a Thanksgiving Basket giveaway, which allowed them to give away over 117 baskets.  She participates in several outreach activities in support of Diabetes Awareness and Domestic Violence.  Maria is also the Special Assistant to her Pastor who overseas for Churches.


Grants Writer

James Hollins is the CEO and President of Jamarcal Management, a company managing the careers of a myriad of entertainers in the Washington-Metropolitan area.  His affinity for music both behind the scenes and the actual performance has garnered him the opportunity to assist in guiding his clients to lucrative deals in the industry.  Jamarcal Management prides itself in being able to hone the crafts of its clients in addition to creating them a memorable brand.

James an avid writer and uses this talent to assist in the writing of various Grants.  He is a loving husband and a semi-professional bowler.  He has a daughter attending Bowie State University majoring in Musical Therapy.


Social Media Manager

Veda Johnson is a freelance Social Media Manager and has been working in Communications professionally since 2010. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Maryland College Park and received a Master of Science in Management and Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She currently resides in Prince George’s County.



Marcus Barry is a Medical Tech in the ER of Prince Georges Community Hospital, he’s the father of a daughter named Zoe.  Marcus started his career with PG Hospital in 2007 as a records clerk.  He eventually moved up to being an ER Medical Clerk.  Marcus has a love for photography and art.  He loves to draw and photograph his daughter  He finds that taking pictures is very calming.  Like his brother Kenneth, Marcus was close to his uncle Rocky.  He remembers most of what he did when he was hanging out with his uncle and brother.  Marcus’ goal is to help bring awareness to Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. He’s honored to take pictures at events that The Rock for Life Foundation, Inc. is doing to help support the community.


Security Director

Angela Lewis is the Security Director for The Rock for Life Foundation, Inc. She retired after 20 years with Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. While at corrections she was a trainer in defensive tactics and an academy instructor. She also was a certified knife defense instructor and was certified by FEMA as weapons of mass distribution instructor. During her time with corrections, she had the privilege to train with many police organizations in various fields. She also had the opportunity to become certified in executive protection. Before her career in corrections, she was a supervisor of security at one of the primer LGBT nightclubs in Washington DC.


Clerical Assistant

Brittney Hall is a customer service oriented, administrative assistant people’s person. Who helps humanity acting as a key problem solver when issues arise or just being a shoulder to lean on. Having over 5 years’ experience working in professional office settings, as well as commercial and residential real estate professional settings has helped me to realize what skills are needed to be a team player as well as what it takes to maintain the smooth running of a business. She is also a mother of a beautiful toddler boy, who keeps her grounded and growing. Brittney believes and most of all understand “No one is more cherished than one who lightens the burden of another”. She understands that as individuals, one of the single most valuable assets we can possess is having good mental health practices. Having overcome bouts of depression and thoughts of suicide through art therapy, documentation through journaling, mentorship, and self-care. Using love, patience, flexibility, attention to detail, and time management to drive her unrelenting pursuit of making the world a better place, through with the Rock for life family.
